HYDROPOWER

Due to the intermittency of wind and solar production, hydropower is one of the most attractive and intriguing solutions to harness energy, yet there are not many types of viable technologies for low-head hydropower. Introducing the most profitable low-head hydropower plant – Turbulent low-head vortex turbines. A reliable and continuous on- and off-grid alternative to diesel, solar, wind and other intermittent generators. Once the site information is confirmed by a local engineer, different sizes of turbines can be installed to meet the energy need of each location. INSTALLATION EASY SET-UP WITH LONG LASTING PRODUCTIVITY

Drop of 1.5 to 5 meter (5 to 16 feet) (2 sequenced turbines are possible if 5 m drop and larger flow)

SINGLE TURBINE​

The Turbulent vortex turbine makes hundreds of sites possible that were never viable with other technologies. Because of the Smart Concrete foundation design, new sites can be developed without many extra concrete structures.

For a single turbine system, you only need a height difference between the upstream and downstream water level of 1.5 – 5 meters and a flow that is larger than 1 cubic meter per second.

Minimum site requirements

Our easily scalable manufacturing and highly flexible, low-head design, allows us to harness the max energy potential of your streams. If you have a canal or river with at least 5 meters over 100m distance (and flow larger than 1 cubic meter), we can install multiple, interconnected turbines which—depending on your drops and flow—can generate up to 2 megawatts or more.
